The assignments that I feel I was most challenged by and has helped me learn more was this last assignment, our group having to write a proposal, than a report and than finally the oral presentation. This assignment brought everything together that we learned all semester and it was turned into three different assignments but for the one big project. It was cool making up a business and then having to research Coca-Cola and tying them both together. We also had to research different nonprofit organizations so they could help out Coca-Cola, and learning about them and applying it to our presentation was interesting too.

We needed to split up who was going to be doing what in our report which was able to get done the first day it was assigned, we all began working on it - I did the intro and our company's logo We got the body of the report done with all of the information and then after it was all done our last group member did the conclusion along with recommendations. Everything was done on time and when it was supposed to be done, it was able to be handed in on May 1st.

The research information that I found helpful, and so did my group was Coca Colas website. We were looking to see if they had done charitable work in the past and found the had, also that they were a sustainable company. Since they are sustainable, they care about the environment, society and the economy so they are always looking to give back to the community. We also looked at other nonprofit organizations in Atlanta Georgia that Coca-Cola could help and we found information that could help us when we were explaining what they can do for Coca-Cola and what can be done for them.

My strengths for writing a research proposal will be the selling part, I'm very good at speaking to people and getting my information across to them. Being detailed is easy also, because I like making sure that all aspects of what i'm talking about is covered.  I think some of my weaknesses for writing a proposal is going to be writing an inital executive summary, I never know what should go into it because too much information is not good but too little information doesn't give the reader enough to go by. Coming up with a budget might be a little challenging also because when it comes to financing i'm not that great at it, finally persuasive writing, we are told this is part of free writing to say what you want but you can't go off topic and you need to stay on track and that is hard too.

The document that I chose to talk about from the letter writing assignment is the email. The email was about accepting the job position, why I was excited about it, the salary I expected to make and when I would be able to start. When I first started the assignment I read the directions a few times to make sure I understood what I needed to do. I then looked up on google and in my textbook what a thank you email should have and what the structure should look like, I started the email accepting the position and expressing why I was excited and what I would be able to bring to the company. We also needed to do a little research on the business to figure out what the typical starting salary would be in the area the job was. I looked that up on La Fitness's website and then confirmed my findings on google again, on glassdoor.com.   I finished the email, made sure it was structured properly and had all the information that was required and made sure my grammar and spelling w...

How difficult or easy was it for you to find the keywords manually in your job description, and why? What was your experience like using the Tag Count website? How easy/difficult was it to incorporate your keywords and phrases into your Resume and Cover letter, and why? Finally if you could go about this portfolio project differently, what would you have done? I never used Tag Count before, I didn't mind using it, it was actually interesting and cool looking at my job description again after looking at the key words that Tag Count picked out. It was also not hard picking out the key words in the job description after knowing what words had come up. But using them in my resume was challenging because my resume was already made and some of the words were difficult to incorporate into it. For my cover letter it was easier since I was making the cover letter pertaining to the job description. So I could put all of the words in the letter that I needed too. If I could go back to my ...
