After carefully reading Peter Elbow's writing without teachers chapter 2, I have discovered that my writing process can be described as start writing and keep writing.
When I first start to write a paper or anything else, I first do not know how to start it. There are many ideas in my head of how I want to word it and what I want to say but I can't seem to put it down on paper. I question whether what I'm writing is correct, and whether it has something to do with the topic that I am supposed to be writing about.
But as soon as I start to write something down, sentences keep flowing and I don't stop. My mind is made up and when I think I know what I'm talking about I just type it all down so I don't forget about any information.
What this writing style also said was even if when the person doesn't "make sense" when they first start writing, they write so much that it begins to make sense. This is very familiar to me also. Although this doesn't happen to me all the time, there have been cases, especially in classes i'm not too interested in where I will start a paper and the topic doesn't make any sense to me. So I will research that topic and find information on it. I then start writing the paper with that information and although it doesn't make complete sense to me or it's not completely relevant to the paper, eventually things start making sense to me and I begin to understand everything. It is then that I can complete the paper and everything makes sense. Also, once I understand what I'm writing about and things start making sense, I usually go back to the beginning of the paper and correct errors or sentences that need to be fixed.
It's very interesting knowing that types of writing actually exist and too find out which one I have!!
